It is over 3 years since I posted on this blog! The simple reason for this is that I’ve been unwell and my illness has distracted me from pretty much everything.
Details can be found here: http://tryingtobeatcancer.org.uk/
The good news is that I am almost recovered and so I’m emerging from the haze. The bad news is that I’ve had to sell my Northern Soul collection to help fund my treatment.
The upshot is that this blog is going to change.
I’m still interested in music and have been buying LPs, I’m also exploring the medium of digital music. Selling my Norther Soul collection has actually liberated me in terms of the music I listen to and buy, so this blog will reflect this.
I’ve completed a long term on and off project in that I have finally got all the first 100 UK issued Tamla Motown LPs, so I’ll start to write about them and might put a gallery together.
I’ve also started to listen to Jazz and Jazz-funk, so as I explore these genres I’ll blog about what I’m buying and listening to, and pass on some reccomendations for what they are worth.
I might still feature some Northern Soul but it has been pretty painful selling up, I know I’ll never get them back again. But at least I am alive to tell the tale.
