It is quite difficult to find good storage for vinyl records these days, particularly 45’s. So I thought I’d put a post together to list good solutions and where to get them. So whether you want a flash lockable DJ case, a vintage carry case for 45s or just somewhere to store your growing collection – this is the page for you.
Here are some boxes that I use to store my records in. The plastic ones are strong, stackable and durable, the cardboard ones are also stackable and come flatpacked so delivery costs are less. Best of all they are cheap.
They both hold about 200 45s each (more in the cardboard one if your records are not in cardboard sleeves). They are not really suitable as play-boxes but if you still use schweppes boxes as for storing 45 records then it is about time you upgraded!
Here are some similar boxes that can be used to store LPs in. These are exactly the same specification as the one shown above but are ideal for LP storage.
They hold about 20 LPs each which is just about right, big enough to store a reasonable number of albums, and when full, still not too heavy to move around.
